Gaskets can be manufactured in a multitude of materials and dimensions which can then be produced using a variety of processes including die cutting molded laser and water-jet cutting processes. In the rubber extrusion process an extruder takes rubber material and softens it through heating pressurizes it and forces the rubber through a die which gives the rubber its Detailed Company Information. The material then goes through a curing process (steam or continuous curing). A groove mounted gasket is placed in a groove where the groove is machined extruded cast or molded into the chassis of the system to be sealed.
